Monitoring evaluation itu dilakukan ketika program sudah betul-betul established dan berjalan. Sebelum melakukan monitoring evaluation, menurut Owen (2006) ada beberapa evaluasi yang sebenarnya perlu dilakukan, yaitu:

1. Proactive evaluation, evaluasi tahap awal, yaitu membantu para pengambil keputusan mengenai tipe program yang diinginkan (how best to develop a program). Dalam hal ini adalah para pimpinan perusahaan.
2. Clarificative evaluation, evaluasi sebelum program dijalankan, yaitu mengevaluasi outcome yang diinginkan. Ini berbentuk program logic dan bisa didiskusikan dengan pimpinan perusahaan atau orang yang incharge dalam hal ini.
3. Interactive evaluation, yaitu evaluasi pada saat program baru diluncurkan. Is the delivery working?
4. Monitoring evaluation, evaluasi ketika program telah establish dan berjalan.
5. Impact evaluation, untuk melihat impact program terhadap target populasi – do they make a difference?

Untuk mengembangkan sistem monitoring evaluation sendiri, beberapa pertanyaan ini mungkin bisa membantu:

1. Is the program reaching the target population?
2. To what extent is the program in line with best practice?
3. Does the program implementation consistent with the objectives of the program?
4. How does the decision-making process affecting the effectiveness of program delivery?
5. To what extent the program will benefit participants?
6. To what extent the quality of the peer educator modules will improve knowledge of participants?
7. How can each company fine-tune the program to make it more effective and efficient?
8. Is there any process of delivery that needs more attention to ensure the effectiveness of the program?
9. Does the costs affect the implementation of the program activities?

Yang terpenting sebenarnya adalah kesinambungan program tersebut di perusahaan masing-masing, artinya jangan sampai hanya HIT and RUN.
